“Connected”

Written for Capricorn Conservation Council’s Biodiversity community event at the Dreamtime Cultural Centre April 2025 - - Central Queensland, the region I call home. The Council champions conservation in the region and created the ‘Biodiversity – your life depends on it’ initiative, including some merchandise to raise funds. They advocate and defend all the biodiverse areas I mention in this poem, with strong connections to the local Indigenous communities.
