“My Visitation by a Pair of Mountain Tapirs – a True Vision!”
This guest poem is from Craig Downer, a person dedicated to saving species, especially horses - and in particular, a strange creature that lives high in the Andes Mountains.
Craig: 'I found a good photo I took of this Endangered species to use with the poem. This is from Sangay National Park, the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Ecuador where I observed and studied these wonderful mammals and members of the Perissodactyla Order for a good many years. For more information and photos go to my website at https://lnkd.in/gzeR5nFA
The photo I selected is from the southern slope at the foot of the mighty nearly 17.5-thousand-feet-high Sangay Volcano, which I ascended in December of 1991 along with 4 members of my study crew.'
This poem is in Volume 2 of Craig's book 'Wonder Streams of the Soul', published under Craig Carpenter Downer on Amazon or
you can get the book directly at ccdowner@aol.com . The link for this on Barnes & Noble is https://lnkd.in/gFcmJMde
'This is an amazing book that in addition to many poems, many of which are illustrated, has a number of essays, speeches, and inspired writings.'
Meet the Mountain Tapir - strange and wonderful.
